Additional Information on the track power from

Current News"Help Me I am Melting"

Upon inspection of the original control panel of the layout it was found that for DC operation the inner and outer loops were wired in opposite polarity. To warn operators of potential shorts when going from one track to another via a crossover a warning light was placed in the circuit that indicated the polarity needed to be reversed on one main's block by using the reverse switch.

Operating under DCC this was not noticed as a problem however the lamp was preventing the breaker on the NCE Power Pro from opening and allowing the short inside the loco.

Rewiring the layout feeds to the 2 loops to match polarity and removing the lamp while adding PSX breakers in power districts solved the problem.
